🎭 Blind Contour Abstract Drawing

In this playful, expressive art session, kids create an abstract blind contour drawing — drawing without looking at the paper — before bringing it to life with bold, colourful Posca pens or textas.

Blind contour drawing is a wonderful way to activate the right side of the brain, helping kids let go of perfection and focus purely on observation, movement and expression. Because there’s no “correct” outcome, this activity naturally encourages confidence, risk-taking and creativity.

Once the drawing is complete, kids use bright colours to fill in their shapes, turning their line work into a joyful, abstract artwork.

This session supports:

  • creative freedom and self-expression

  • confidence through letting go of perfection

  • focus and observation

  • playful exploration of line and colour

The results are always surprising, full of personality, and completely unique.
A brilliant activity for kids who love colour, movement, and making art that feels fun and expressive.
