🟦 Abstract 3D Paper Sculpture

In this hands-on art session, kids create an abstract 3D paper sculpture by cutting, folding and gluing coloured paper to build shapes that lift and pop off a flat background.

This lesson is all about exploring form, shape and texture in a playful, tactile way. As kids experiment with folding and layering paper, they develop spatial awareness while discovering how simple materials can be transformed into something sculptural and expressive.

This session supports:

  • fine motor skills through cutting and folding

  • creative problem-solving

  • experimentation with shape and structure

  • confidence through open-ended making

Because the activity is abstract, kids are free to explore without worrying about what their artwork “should” look like — making it a wonderfully freeing and confidence-boosting experience.

A great session for kids who love hands-on making, building, and seeing their artwork come to life in 3D.
