Hi, I'm Britt — and yes, my house is as colourful as my personality.

I'm a Sunshine Coast-based creative, interior stylist, and self-confessed colour obsessive who believes life is genuinely too short for beige walls and scratchy bed linen. I grew up on a farm in rural Ontario, Canada — which probably explains why I've spent most of my adult life chasing colour, warmth, and beauty in every corner I can find.

I hold a Visual Arts Degree, a Graduate Diploma in Education (Visual Arts), and a Certificate IV in Interior Decoration — where I was awarded the Mercer School of Interior Design Award of Excellence. I've taught art and creativity across Australia, England, and Canada, and for four wonderful years I ran my pride and joy Hearty Art Studio, a sold-out creative workshop space that became so much more than an art class — it was a place where little hands got messy and proud, and grown-up hands remembered they still had it. When that chapter closed, a new one opened, and honestly? It's the best one yet.

These days I split my time between diving back into the world of interiors — slowly, joyfully, and on my own terms — and flipping properties with my husband Clint, a builder with seriously good taste (he married me, after all). After having Ziggy, my creativity took a bit of a backseat, and honestly? That's okay. Life does that. But lately the colour is coming back, the moodboards are multiplying, and I'm feeling more inspired than ever. We moved our little family to the Sunshine Coast chasing slow mornings, beach days and a bigger life — and we're building exactly that, one colourful room and one property deal at a time.

Speaking of the family — there's Ziggy, our son and my greatest creative collaborator (his bedroom moodboards are elite), and Greyson and William, our two dogs who contribute nothing to the business but absolutely everything to our happiness.

Oh — and my 40th birthday? I spent it in Palm Springs surrounded by my favourite people who flew in from Canada and Australia to celebrate with me. It was the trip that reignited everything. The colour, the architecture, the pure joy of being somewhere that beautiful — I came home feeling more like myself than I had in years. That trip is basically why you're reading this right now.

If you love colour, beautiful homes, creative living, and the occasional overly enthusiastic homewares recommendation — you're in exactly the right place. Welcome. 🎨
